The Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) is an industry recognised body that is dedicated to promoting the vitality and viability of urban centres across the UK and Ireland. Their awards celebrate significant contributions and development of urban centres across a range of categories.

CABC was highly commended for its safety, security and resilience initiatives including CityNet radio, Vulnerability Awareness Training, Night Marshals and for supporting the Cardiff Street Pastors and facilitating Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) training. The radio system is provided by M.R.S. Communications. Ian Tumelty, Business Crime Reduction Manager at CABC said the CityNet radio system plays a big part in the success of their scheme:

“We’re proud to have achieved the runner-up award for the best Safety, Security and Resilience scheme, because it reflects our primary goals as an organisation to provide a safe and secure environment for our members. To be recognised as one of the best in the industry in this category is great news for us and great news for Cardiff.

We are grateful to M.R.S. Communications for their support. They are a company that matches our focus on safety and security, and their radio systems’ resilience and consistency have helped us provide a better service to our city.

It’s important to have like-minded partners and they certainly reflect the standards we aim to achieve in delivering our service.”
