Rob Dyson, Business Crime Reduction Manager
"M.R.S. Communications has been the chosen supplier for Manchester City Centre for over 15 years; we are delighted to have renewed our partnership again following their continued guidance, expertise and knowledge about the needs of our organisation. I have had the pleasure of working in partnership with M.R.S. Communications Ltd since 2009 and witnessed first-hand their knowledge and expertise in the industry. This was particularly evident during 2018, when M.R.S. migrated our radio network to a Motorola digital radio system. Part of this development was the introduction of TRBOnet command and control software management suite that allowed us to manage, review and identify training issues through audio recording facilities. The system provided us with the ability to use our audio footage as part of an evidential package - an extremely useful tool that is valued by our members. Throughout our many years of working together, M.R.S. Communications has not only provided excellent service, but has also ensured support is available when it is needed."
CityCo is one of the largest independent membership organisations in the UK, looking after over 1000 companies across Manchester and Salford in all sectors, sizes and locations. They also manage Manchester’s Business Improvement District (Manchester BID), a working consortium of over 400 leading city centre retailers and restaurants.
Working closely with Greater Manchester Police, the BCRP has strengthened significantly over the past 5 years; representing businesses at the highest strategic level in the city, sharing intelligence, tackling security concerns and offering bespoke training.
CityCo required a communications service that would provide their members with a high quality radio system for both day and night time economies. The system needed to be reliable, and the organisation providing the radios needed to have a thorough understanding of CityCo’s requirements.
M.R.S. Communications provided CityCo with a communications system that fit their requirements, enabling their members to easily communicate with each other. To ensure that the systems were effective for businesses operating during the day or throughout the night, M.R.S. implemented their StoreNet and NiteNet systems. Although tailored to the retail industry and night time scene respectively, both systems provide a members with a support network of other businesses in their local area. As a result, the system improves safety measures within the area and helps staff to feel safer in their working environment.
M.R.S Communications Ltd have been the chosen supplier for Manchester City Centre for the past 15 years, and have recently renewed their partnership. In 2011, M.R.S. were also responsible for the migration of CityCo’s radio system from analogue to digital. Part of this development was the introduction of a command and control software management suite that allowed CityCo to manage, review and identify training issues through audio recording facilities. The system provided them with the ability to use their own audio footage as part of an evidential package for the first time ever – an extremely useful tool that is valued by their members to this day.
