M.R.S. Communications and Wolverhampton BID deliver advanced training to Wolverhampton radio users

M.R.S. Communications jointly with Wolverhampton BID has successfully delivered advanced radio training to radios users. The training took place on the 10th and 11th of July and was aimed primarily at established radio users who already understand the basics of using their radio system.

The session – delivered by experienced Account Manager, Hilary Llewellyn – along with Lucy Armstrong – BID Project Co-ordinator- covered how the radio users could improve their already established radio technique, looking at the best ways to communicate over the radios by being clear, precise, and to the point. The group also developed a deeper understanding of GDPR compliance as well as learning how best to give descriptions without using IC codes.

Amongst the group of trainees were three Wolverhampton BID Ambassadors, all of whom can be seen wearing teal enjoy shirts alongside BID Project Co-ordinator, Lucy Armstrong and Anthony Moon, Travel for West Midlands Manager at Wolverhampton Bus Station.

The Wolverhampton BID Ambassadors have all been trained by M.R.S. Communications to provide basic radio training to other users, and have received the M.R.S. Training Certification in the past.

Lucy Armstrong, Project Coordinator at Wolverhampton BID, welcomed the joint training with M.R.S. Communications and said:

‘‘Together as partners we can improve the use of the radio link and benefit our businesses to receive the most relevant information and intelligence through better communication and listening across the city centre.’’
